Jan. 29, 2008:
Twin Trek was shown at the Park Teatret in Oslo to a full audience with an energetic discussion afterwards about the film's issues of multiculturalism. The film was also covered in local media: Ruijan Kaiku and Utrop.no [pdf].
Twin Trek has been purchased by the The University Library of Tromsø and the Vadsø museum (Ruija kvenmuseum), both in northern Norway, for educational and archival purposes. It is also available at the Open Society Archives in Budapest.
The Winter Festival in Tana, Norway screens Twin Trek.
I attend the Børselv Kven Festival in northern Norway where Twin Trek is screened twice to enthusiastic audiences.
A version of Twin Trek is broadcast in Canada, five times, on the Movieola network.
December 11-15: The documentary has its Asian premiere in Nepal at the Kathmandu International Mountain Film Festival where it screened to an audience of 500-plus along with an extensive Q-and-A.
